A Comfort Food That is Good for You!

Not only are potatoes an inexpensive and readily available food choice, they’re also an extremely healthy one!  One baked potato has more potassium than a banana and the high soluble fiber content in potatoes means they can help lower cholesterol too!

Other minerals like phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, zinc and iron are found naturally in potatoes and contribute to building and maintaining good bone strength.  Recent studies have shown that potatoes can reduce inflammation and this occurs even more so when consuming purple potatoes.
