Prairie Gold Produce uses mainly Russet potatoes to manufacture their potato granules with small quantities of red and yellow potatoes blended in.

We offer fresh pack potatoes in the following varieties: RUSSET NORKOTAH, RUSSET BURBANK, RANGER RUSSET, RED POTATOES and YELLOW POTATOES.

What makes Prairie Gold Produce potato granules better than others?

Prairie Gold Produce starts off using over 95% RUSSET potatoes for their potato granules.  Other manufacturers use a mixture of RUSSETS and additional potato varieties which contribute to the ‘gluey’ texture that most potato granules have when they’re prepared.  At Prairie Gold Produce, they’ve invested a lot a time and money into purchasing custom equipment and honing their manufacturing processes which has allowed them to perfect their potato granules.  Prairie Gold potato granules have the same consistency and texture as fresh made mashed potatoes and result in crispier baked and fried products when used as a coating and moister and less dense food when added as a filling.

Are Prairie Gold Produce products allergen sensitive?

Yes.  Prairie Gold Produces does not have peanuts, tree nuts or other nuts or their derivatives, sesame seeds, dairy products, egg, soy, wheat, corn or their derivatives, fish, shellfish, or crustaceans present in any products in their manufacturing facilities.  Prairie Gold Produce uses sulphites as a shelf life preservative so products may contain Sodium Metabisulphate.

Where can I store my potato granules and how long can I store them?

The potato granules have a shelf-life of almost 2 years and they do not require refrigeration but should be stored in a dry, air tight container.

How are Prairie Gold Produce potato granules packed?

The potato granules are packed into multiwall paper bags with a polyethylene liner that typically contain 25 kg of potato granules.  They also have tote bags that hold 1000kg and 1500kg of potato granules.
